Biggest Leadership Mistake

Biggest Leadership Mistake   Your biggest leadership mistake has nothing to do with your inability to speak to a large audience, or your lack of a goal-driven, mover-and-shaker mentality. Neither is it found in your struggle with multitasking or effectively managing those placed under your authority. You may spend years reading leadership books, talking to leaders, or trying to perfect your own ability to lead, but your biggest leadership mistake comes from neglecting a simple, core, foundational principle You do not spend enough time in the Word. Instead of being led, you are leading. 1. You Cannot Serve a God You Don't Know The depth of your relationship with God manifests itself in your ability to impact, lead, and serve. If you do not take time to know Him, how can you talk about Him, teach about Him or serve Him purposefully? If your knowledge of God is built on the latest pastoral-bestseller book or rockstar preacher's sermon, then you don't know Hi...

Why Should I study Bible?

Image
Sharing Christ - Loving people How to study the Bible by Joice Meyer I've spent about 30 years studying God's Word, and it has totally changed my life. I thank God for what I know now, but it didn't come overnight. If you want to see areas of your life change, learn to truly study the Bible. why should I study Bible? The Bible is no ordinary book. The words within its pages are like medicine to your soul. It has the power to change your life because there is life in the Word! (see Hebrew 4:12) And when you discover the power and truth of God's Word, you will begin to see changes in your life that only this truth can bring. You will even learn how to recognize what the enemy tries to bring against you.

Who has believed our message?

'Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground.  He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.  He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.  Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.  Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering,  yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;  the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;  and the Lord has laid on him  the iniquity of us all.  He was o...

Renew Your Mind

Image
"It is life-changing when we discover that wrong thoughts are the root of our problems and that we can change our life by changing our thinking. God's Word teaches us that our mind must be renewed so we can learn to think like God thinks. When we do, then we can enjoy the life that God wants us to have - one of freedom, fruitfulness, peace, and joy. You may have some major strongholds in your life that needs to be broken. Let me encourage you by saying, "God is on your side." There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side." -Joyce Meyer

Apostolic Task

Image
If the Lord wanted apostles today, there would be no shortage of applicants. It is a noble title. But how many would want to be an apostle knowing what they really had to do? I don't think it was to sit at the managing director's desk. Apostles means "sent one." What were they sent to do? First they were sent to be evangelists. Second, to suffer for doing it. Let me tell you - to witness and to evangelize is our privilege. We are doing what the Apostles did. The Lord appointed the Twelve as His first witnesses. They were sent to introduce the Gospel to the world, and our task is to follow on. Their distinction as apostles was to initiate all evangelism. Jesus gave them His teaching, and they passed it to us. They were foundation. We tread where they led. "Apostle" was not a title of honor to make them famous. It describe what they should do - (Go), and what they should be -  (Prime targets for persecution, not for prestige). We read, God has displayed us,...

How Big is Hell?

Image
These chapter are written because I do not believe that God's plans call for hell to be bigger than heaven. Although Scripture speaks about "many" who are on their way to eternal destruction (Matt. 7:13), these same people must be intercepted by men and women preaching the original Gospel. Provision has been made to bring "many sons to glory" (Heb. 2:10); and, praise God, Revelation 7:9 speaks of a successful conclusion. Jesus instructed, "Go... and make disciples of all the nations" (Matt. 28:19). There is no alternate plan in case the Gospel fails because it won't!  More people are being saved, healed and baptized into the Holy Spirit today than ever before in man's history. The tempo is increasing, leading to but one conclusion:                     Jesus is coming soon. We are not called to go into a battle with the outcome yet to be decided. The battle was won at Calvary. Jesus commanded the disciples: "Pray the Lord o...
