Secret to your success

Image
What is the key to being successful? What separates people who achieve much from those who merely get by? It's what they do every day. The secret to your success can be found in your daily agenda. People who achieve their potential do so because they invest in themselves every day. They take the time to add value to themselves. Because they do, they are also able to add value to others. What the Bible Is?

Image
The Bible is a collection of 66 "books" that were written over a period of more than 1,500 years. In a typical printed Bible, the longest book (Psalms) takes up more than 100 pages, the shortest (2 John) less than a page.    More than 40 different people wrote the various books of the Bible. Some of them were rich, some were poor. Among them were kings, poets, prophets, musicians, philosophers, farmers, teachers, a priest, a statesman, a sheepherder, a tax collector, a physician, and a couple of fishermen. They wrote in palaces and in prisons, in great cities and in the wilderness, in times of terrible war and in times of peace and prosperity. They wrote stories, poems, histories, letters, proverbs, and prophecies.     The Bible is not a textbook or a book of abstract theology, to be analyzed, discussed, and understood only by highly educated theologians and experts. It is a book about real people and about the God who is real.   ...

Gideon

Image
Introduction:        Gideon is a hero and judge of the Old Testament. He led the vastly outnumbered Israelites against the Midianites defeated them, and killed their two kings.        Gideon or Gedeon(modern Gid'on, Tiberian Gid'on), also named Jerubbaal and Jerubbesheth, was a military leader, judge, and prophet whose calling and victory over the Midianites are recounted in Chapter 6 and 8 of the book of Judges in the Hebrew Bible.        Gideon or Jerubbaal is a 12th Century Israelite warrior of the tribe of Manasseh, and one of the greater judges of Israel. The book of Judges relates that Gideon was a strong opponent of the Baal Cult. From the Life of Gideon      Most of us want to know God's plan for our lives, but we're not always sure how to find it. One common misunderstanding is the idea that God's guidance will come to us out of the blue, that it has nothing to do with what we're doing...

Synagogue(सभाघर)

Image
The synagogue was the place where Jews gathered for instruction and worship in New Testament. The word 'Synagugue' means 'assembly' and can refer simply to the gathering of people itself(James 2:2) or to the building in which they gather(Luke 7:5). The origins of the synagogue are obscure but they probably extent back at least to the period of Ezra. At the time of the New Testament, Synagogues were found throughout the Roman Empire as local Centers for the study of the Law and for worship. As such, they served a different role in the life of the Jewish people than did the Jerusalem temple, with it's focus on the sacrificial cult.

How to Start Growing Toward Your Vision This Year

Image
You may be overflowing with vision for your ministry, but there is a point where you have to stop thinking about it and talking about it, and instead, start doing something about it− moving your vision toward a tangible reality. I've met thousands of pastors with incredible vision for ministry in their community, but sadly they never got past the thinking stage.    What good is a vision when it stays stuck in your head? Or if it languishes in the "talk stage" and never launches into the sea of faithful action? The vision behind Saddleback Church would be nothing more than that− a vision− without the steps of faith taken to plant, and then grow, the church.    God rarely asks you to take leaps of faith; rather, he encourages you to take small steps that grow larger as your faith grows larger. But you've got to take the first step to get to all the other steps!    In the opening chapters of Joshua, the Israelites faced a faith-step: They sto...

Ratchet Up Your Passion

Image
What makes it possible for people who might seem ordinary to achieve great things? The answer is passion. Nothing can take the place of passion in a leader's life.        Take a look at four truths about passion and what it can do for you as a leader. Passion is the first step to achievement:    Your desire determines your destiny. Anyone who lives beyond an ordinary life has great desire. It's true in any field. weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire creates little heat. The stronger your fire, the greater the desireㅡ and the greater the potential. Passion increases your willpower:     There is no substitute for passion. It is fuel for the will. If you want anything badly enough, you can find the willpower to achieve it. The only way to have that kind of desire is to develop a passion. Passion changes you:     If you follow your passion- instead of others perceptions- you can't help becoming a more dedicated, ...
